How much trouble can one girl find herself in? How about two girls?
In Florida for the Winter Equestrian Festival, Greer couldn’t have
imagined that doing the right thing would lead to so many complications.
For Talia, she finds that doing the right thing has a cost.
This is a time of changes for everyone. The direction they were
going in on New Year’s Day, is not where they are one month later.
For some, that’s a good thing. For some, it’s not.
But that’s how it is at Bittersweet Farm.

No, it's not a bag full of tissue paper and pinecones! It's way cooler than that!

Bittersweet Farm "BF" Horseshoe Nail Necklace Giveaway
Here is the first neat giveaway for you. It's a real horseshoe nail I
had stamped with the initials BF because you are so totally a fan of
Bittersweet Farm, right?
Leave a comment to enter. You can tell us what you like about the series, the characters, the horses or you can just leave your name and email address. You can tell us what you would like to happen to the characters in the future, or what you think will happen to them.
Unless you request it, I won't put you on the mailing list. The mailing list is only to notify people when a book is being released, I don't have the energy to come up with content and funny pictures or recipes for horse cookies because I'm busy writing and goofing off.
The winner of this necklace will be chosen by random.org.
The contest will last 1 week. Ignore the Rafflecopter thing. I only put it there so you would have a countdown clock

Bittersweet Farm Books Video Debut
http://bit.ly/18SpF3r
It's something fun, lists the cover images of the books available--or soon will be!--and contains one of my favorite compositions by my friend, Michal Towber and two of her friends Dave Liang and Sean Han. December should be an exciting month!

Bittersweet 4 Almost
I pressed the button and now Amazon will work its magic and publish it. All we have to do is wait. It may be very late today or it might be tomorrow morning.
Lots of surprises, I think. New directions. New people. New horses.

Bittersweet Farm 1 Coming in Print
Yes via the magic of trees and ink, those without readers will be able to experience the endless excitement of Bittersweet Farm next month.
The way Maggie Dana and I help each other may be featured in an article appearing in the Huffington Post next month so if that happens, I'll be sure to mention it.
Indie publishing is not like traditional publishing in so many ways. Large publishers believe their audience is small and each reader has to be fought to win over. If books didn't cost $30 maybe readers could afford to buy more books. In digital publishing, the costs and prices are low. Readers are able to read as much as they want. Writers don't have to be in competition for a small market, they can help each other reach the audience.

Top Three!
This is so unbelievable. I never imagined this could possibly happen until yesterday but it wasn't something I expected to happen.
Of course it wouldn't be possible without so much support from people I know and who I don't know yet. Thank you.

3 in Top 10 Equestrian!
That's never happened to me before. Not 3 in the same series and it's fun. And Wingspread is still listed in Hot New Release.
Maybe this is all "inside baseball" to some degree but the more visibility a book gets, the more lists it's on, the more people will see it and consider reading it. That's good for all of us. So enjoy this happy moment with me and know I had an idea last night that was so staggering I couldn't believe it myself. It's for a book down the line so we'll see if I can actually go there.

Bittersweet Farm 3: Wingspread Available Tomorrow
It was a very exciting moment. No, really. My friend, Maggie Dana (check out her Timber Ridge Riders books for tweens) and I gave it a final pass, she added several commas (!) and then I clicked publish.
The book is full of surprises, reversals, disappointments and triumphs. And more horses!
Here's the blurb:
The book is full of surprises, reversals, disappointments and triumphs. And more horses!
Here's the blurb:
“Surprise!” Greer’s mother says with her
unannounced arrival. What Victoria Swope
is doing in town is a mystery but they soon find out and no one is pleased.
When Greer demands to be home-schooled with Talia, the lessons
at Bittersweet Farm aren’t restricted to dressage, cross-country and show
jumping. If the half-sisters can’t get
along, one of them will be sent abroad to finish high school. Unable to bear leaving the farm’s trainer, Lockie
Malone, or her horse, CB, Talia grits her teeth and tries to move forward.
It's soon
obvious that everyone at the farm faces changes and challenges. Solving
them is difficult and maybe impossible.

Why I Won't Be Around And What You Can Do About It
Well, nothing, really. But I do hit and run on my Facebook pages real well, so go there if you want the latest news on things like Bad Apple, Bittersweet Farm and all the politically incorrect news items the mainstream media ignores.
I promised I would do Bad Apple 4 after Bittersweet 2 and I am being good to my word. Parked isn't parked any longer and it's making slow progress toward the conclusion.
If you read a book and like it, try to leave a review. Tell your friends how much you enjoyed it. Not just for me, for any author. We're all in this together.

Presents
Presents are nice. We all like them, probably too much, but still what can top a great surprise present? I'm looking forward to the Bittersweet Farm Christmas where I will go full-bore festive. What should Talia give Lockie? Don't imagine there's going to be a sleigh ride!
Amazon Montlake gave me the gift of moving Love In The Air up the schedule to next month if I would compromise with them on the changes I requested. So I said yes.
Sometimes you make the best decision you can at the time, then later circumstances change and you do your best with what's become a bit of a mess. That's what happened.
It's solved now.
We're having snow, not as much as some parts of the country, but we'll definitely have a white Christmas. It's iconic. That's what most people hope for, dream of. So I rushed out with a candy cane and the Nikon followed by the feral cats who have a tendency to get in every shot where the ground is visible. Ha! Skunked you guys this time!
